This timely EI LIVE free webinar explores how to apply the bow tie methodology to COVID-19, in order to slow transmission rates, save lives, and help the world get back to ‘normal’.
When?
21 May 2020 12.30 - 13.30
A ‘bow tie’ usually refers to the renowned methodology used worldwide to manage risks in hazardous environments (or the necktie of course). Diagram 1 below, illustrates the steps everyone working on a particular project should take to protect themselves and others. The Energy Institute (EI) and the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) have gone a step further and applied this methodology to help in the fight against COVID-19, as shown in diagram 2. As Mark Scanlon puts it in his latest blog, ‘We must each play our part in applying (the bow tie procedures) as stringently as possible… to break the chain of causality between exposure, infection and death.’
During this webinar, our expert speakers will explain the fundamentals of the bow tie methodology, how to apply the process in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the crucial next steps everyone should take to ensure its success.
